How Can You Become a Member?
We are glad you are interested in finding out more information about church membership! In every request for membership at First Baptist Church Walnut Ridge, the person seeking membership meets with a member of the pastoral staff. This meeting is to ensure the appropriate method of joining the church is being pursued, to ensure that the candidate understands the vision of the church, and to explain what is expected of members.
A time of invitation is offered at the end of every Sunday morning service, when you can publicly request to become a member of this church, by coming to the front to speak to the Pastor. If you would like to speak to someone from the pastoral staff about joining FBC prior to a church service, please do not hesitate to contact the church office at (870) 886-2722.
There are three ways you can become a member of First Baptist Walnut Ridge:
Confession of Faith and Baptism
When you have believed that Jesus died for your sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, and that He rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures; and when you have confessed that Jesus is the Lord of your life, then you need to make your faith in Christ known. After you make this heart confession in Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of your life, you should obey Jesus' command to be baptized by water immersion (1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 10:9-10; 6:4). Upon your public confession of faith and baptism, you become a member of our church!
Transfer of Letter
If you have already made a confession of faith in the Lord Jesus, have been baptized by water immersion, and are currently a member of another church of like faith and order, you can request that your membership be moved from your current church home to First Baptist Church Walnut Ridge.
Statement of Faith
If you have already made a confession of faith in the Lord Jesus, have been baptized by water immersion, and are a member of a church of a different denomination or belief, please review our beliefs by clicking here, and then speak with a member of our pastoral staff about joining our church.
